The Story Behind Soif&Co Collab

What happens when you pair a passion for fine culinary terroir with an unyielding curiosity about the universe? You get an art partnership that challenges us to look at the world a little differently.

Art Republiq is proud to announce an exclusive fine art partnership with Singapore bistro Soif&Co.

This site-specific collaboration brings a brand-new dimension to professional photographer Stéphane Ferrero’s acclaimed S.I.G.H.T.I.N.G. series, elevating the entire dining experience to guide guests through a rich journey of discovery that begins on the plate and continues on the walls. The Evolution of the S.I.G.H.T.I.N.G. Photography Series

The S.I.G.H.T.I.N.G. project originally launched as a 7-piece contemporary surrealist set. In each image, Ferrero captures striking, real-world streetscapes and landscapes unexpectedly juxtaposed with a silent, quietly hovering UFO. The series explores the "Explorer" mindset—celebrating wonder, curiosity, and the unique, beautiful perspective of being a "foreigner."

When the opportunity arose to partner with Soif&Co, Ferrero saw a perfect alignment of philosophies. The very name Soif means "Thirst" in French. Beyond physical thirst, it represents a deep, spiritual hunger to explore the unknown.

To honour this partnership, Ferrero stepped back behind the lens to expand the universe, creating three brand-new, exclusive pieces specifically for this collaboration. Together, they form a site-specific trilogy that will never be available on the open market, online, or in traditional galleries. They belong solely to the walls and the patrons of Soif&Co.

The Soif Trilogy: From the Table to the Sky

This exclusive three-piece addition maps a journey bridging the French origins of the bistro's menu with its current home in a vibrant Asian metropolis.

Print 1: The Terroir (The French Alps)

Set against the breathtaking, snow-peaked backdrop of the French Alps, three traditional bistro tables sit heavily laden with wine, fresh bread, and charcuterie. In the distance, a silent, hovering visitor arrives. Just as you open your palate to the rich flavors of French heritage, this piece invites you to open your mind to the mysteries of the sky.

Print 2: The Lost Beacon (Keong Saik Road, Singapore)

A poignant tribute to Singapore's local culinary history, this image features the iconic heritage building of Potato Head Singapore in Chinatown, which closed its historic doors in October 2024. For a decade, this venue stood as a bold, foreign concept that redefined the local streetscape. With a hovering visitor suspended above its distinct rooftop, this piece honors a lost beacon of creativity.

Print 3: The Ultimate Guest (Thian Hock Keng Temple)

The emotional anchor of the exhibition. Looking upward from the historic, peaceful courtyard of Thian Hock Keng Temple, three distinct worlds collide. The ancient architectural heritage, the ultra-modern skyscrapers of the financial district, and a hovering UFO. It is a visual celebration of coexistence under the exact same sky, suggesting that the unknown is not something to fear, but something to welcome.

"When we step into a venue like Soif&Co, we are already opening our palates to the flavors of a foreign French terroir. We are welcoming the unknown with a glass in hand. The UFOs captured in S.I.G.H.T.I.N.G. are not invaders, they are the ultimate guests, mirroring our own deep curiosity about the universe. This exhibition is a toast to the unexpected, inviting you to enjoy the best of Earth on your plate and marvel at the mysteries of the sky on the walls." — Stéphane Ferrero, Photographer

True Museum-Quality Investment Craftsmanship

Because this trilogy was conceptualized as a rare, investment-grade collector’s set, Art Republiq has adhered to the absolute highest printmaking standards in the fine art industry:.

  • The Giclée Printing Process: Every piece is created using a high-precision digital printing process utilizing archival pigment inks that capture the rich contrast, deep black tones, and razor-sharp textures of Ferrero's original photography.

  • Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper: Printed exclusively on premium, acid-free Hahnemühle cotton rag paper. This ensures the artwork will not yellow, fade, or degrade over time, preserving its investment value for generations.

  • The Mark of Authenticity: To guarantee total provenance, every single print is individually hand-signed and hand-numbered by Stéphane Ferrero out of a strict worldwide run of 25.

An Elite Pricing Advantage for Bistro Patrons

This collaboration completely bypasses the traditional art gallery ecosystem. By removing third-party gallery fees, Art Republiq and Soif&Co are passing that direct financial advantage directly to the restaurant's guests.

While these registered prints carry a Standard Market Valuation of $1,200, they are being offered exclusively to patrons of the bistro for a Special Partnership Price of $550.

This collaboration suggests a beautiful truth. Discovering a brilliant anomaly in the clouds is just as thrilling as uncovering a great new vintage wine. We invite you to experience S.I.G.H.T.I.N.G. in person during your next visit to Soif&Co. Take a walk around the room, read the physical side stories next to the frames, and join us in a toast to the unexpected.
